Two companies have been fined over £100k after a Two companies have been fined over £100k after a worker fell through the skylight of a skate park, suffering multiple injuries and spending a month in hospital.

Despite there being insufficient control measures for working at height in place, workers were still allowed to start work fitting solar panels on the roof.

A Kent-based plastics manufacturer has been fined A Kent-based plastics manufacturer has been fined £400,000 after an employee was struck by forklift truck – sustaining multiple leg fractures and a dislocated ankle.

The driver of the forklift truck failed to see the worker, and the HSE investigation found a number of measures lacking at the site.
