Get To Know Jeff!

How did you end up working at WA Management?

In my early years I did a four-year apprenticeship in thick plate Structural steelwork including welding, I carried on studying whilst working and obtained an ONC & HNC in this trade.

After being part of a couple of structural steelwork business I finally had the opportunity to own one and I was with this company for over 27 years, working my way up from the bottom to the top.

WA Management worked within both companies and during that time – I wanted to know what they did so up skilled myself. I studied Health Safety, IOSH, NEBOSH, Quality, Contact Law & a Master’s degree in Leadership & Management and even ran a business as well!

Through a chance meeting with the owner William and what I could offer, the opportunity rose to join WA – so here I am sharing my 40 years of industry experience with them and their client base and still learning!

What are you working on at the moment?

Apart from the training courses I have been attending, I am working with quite a few client company leaders to help them promote both Health and Safety and Quality within their organisation and achieve British Standards.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I am a Rifle shooter, and an active member of a rifle club, I really enjoy long distance shooting with high powered rifles and enjoy the thrill of getting spot on at rifle target shooting.

I am also a senior member of the Army Cadet Force (Cadet Force Adult Volunteer) and currently part of a training team that teaches adult CFAV’s how to teach and structure their lessons which they deliver to the teenage youth of today.

I also have strong core values & standards which the Army has drummed into me for the past 35 years, this is carried forward to all our new and present CFVA’s we teach ensuring that all our army cadets carry this banner into their future life experiences. “To Inspire to Achieve” is the motto and we live by it.
