Hearing loss caused by exposure to noise at work continues to be a significant occupational disease. Some 17,000 people in the UK suffer deafness, tinnitus or other ear conditions as a result of exposure to excessive workplace noise.

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 places a duty on employers to reduce the risk to their employees’ health by controlling noise exposure at work.  In addition, employees also have duties under these Regulations.

This course is also suitable as part of a new starter health and safety induction.

This e-learning course only provides awareness education. A full workplace Noise Risk Assessment should be carried out with a calibrated noise metre.
